AM Accounting and Tax Services, LLC was established in 1997 and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since its founding, the firm has expanded its services to provide tax preparation, tax planning and resolution, and Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Our firm is led by CPA Alice Zaganczyk Peterson, who brings decades of experience supporting clients through the financial and operational challenges they face. We understand that managing personal taxes or operating a business requires more than technical compliance—it requires clear communication, timely information, and practical guidance.

To meet these needs, we take a personalized, client-centered approach. Clients work directly with their CPA and receive consistent, ongoing support rather than transactional or fragmented service. This collaborative model allows us to act as a trusted advisor and outsourced finance partner, helping clients move beyond reactive problem-solving to proactive planning.

Our Team

Alice Zaganczyk Peterson, CPA

Certified Public Accountant

Alice Zaganczyk Peterson, CPA (Wisconsin), brings over 30 years of experience in tax, accounting, and advisory services for individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. She founded AM Accounting and Tax Services, LLC in 1997 and continues to lead the firm with a client-focused, advisory-driven approach.

Alice holds a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and is a Wisconsin-licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

Throughout her career, Alice has provided tax preparation, tax planning and resolution, and full-service small business accounting. She plays a central role in delivering Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS), working collaboratively with clients as a trusted advisor and outsourced finance partner. Alice also has extensive experience supporting local nonprofit organizations with tax compliance and accounting needs.

As a community-based firm owner, Alice is committed to providing high-quality professional service, clear communication, and practical guidance to help clients navigate complex tax and financial matters with confidence.

 

Anna Sheteron, MS

Accounting and Payroll Specialist, Tax Preparation

Anna has been a key member of AM Accounting and Tax Services, LLC for more than 15 years and brings extensive experience in tax, accounting, payroll, and advisory services. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and has earned a Master’s degree in Accounting/Tax, further strengthening her technical expertise and advisory capabilities.

In her role as a Tax, Accounting, and Payroll Services Manager, Anna supports individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations through tax return preparation, bookkeeping, payroll administration, and ongoing accounting support. She plays an integral role in delivering Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS), working collaboratively with clients to provide accurate financial reporting, process improvement, and proactive guidance.

With strong proficiency in bookkeeping systems, QuickBooks, payroll services, and individual income tax preparation, Anna is known for her attention to detail, reliability, and client-focused approach. Her long-standing experience and commitment to service make her a trusted resource for both clients and the firm.

Vanessa Sanchez Lopez

Administrative Assistant

Vanessa Sanchez Lopez is an Office Management and Client Services Professional with over 8 years of experience supporting tax, accounting, and advisory services. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and is a key contributor to the operations of AM Accounting and Tax Services, LLC.

In her role, Vanessa performs bookkeeping and other accounting functions, manages office operations, and serves as a liaison for client documentation related to tax and accounting support. She works closely with clients and internal staff to ensure accurate records, timely information flow, and efficient processing in support of tax preparation and Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS).

Vanessa brings strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to the firm, helping manage day-to-day workflows, client scheduling, and internal processes. Her background includes experience working with nonprofit organizations, collaborating with small businesses, and supporting construction administration, contributing to her well-rounded understanding of diverse client needs.
